James joined Time Manufacturing Company in 1987. An incredible asset to the company, he has occupied design, project, product and chief engineer roles, before becoming CTO reporting to Jay Jeffrey, CCO & President. James led the team that invented the first articulating telescopic aerial lift, and he was responsible for creating the original design of the Versalift VST product line and TruGuard, the world’s most advanced bucket truck safety system and his engineering work is the gold standard for improving aerial lift safety and efficiency. With James’s leadership, the company’s product innovations have supported a profitable-growth trajectory.
James is responsible for new product development for the Time Manufacturing Company portfolio of brands (including new acquisitions), where he pushes for greater innovation and smarter, more reliable design. James also has oversight of research and development at the company. Responsible for the overall quality and safety of all products, James is Chairman of the Manufacturers of Aerial Devices & Digger Derricks Council, Member of Canadian Standards Association for Vehicle Mounted Aerial Devices as well as other International Standard Councils for Aerial lifts and Digger Derricks. He is a member at the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
